REFACE is a physical and musical exploration based on the idea of transformation. It is a constantly evolving process in which the faces and bodies of the two performers shift endlessly before our eyes through the use of tape, wigs, and makeup. A dance that continually changes form and tone, where the performers appear at times as funny, frightening, innocent, unsettling, or grotesque creatures. An unrelenting and ever-surprising metamorphosis that reveals the complexity and ambiguity of who we are or what we represent — but also a space for play and astonishment.
