MERCEDES MÁIS EU is a collaboration between artist Janet Novàs and composer Mercedes
Peòn in which the relationship between “her dance and her music”; is explored through drums,
songs, dance, memories and silence. In this shared ritual, triggered by their distinctive artistic
personalities, the piece looks at the collective, from a non-stereotyped perspective and sensibility.
Mercedes is a hybrid of music and dance, full of evocative images. It is divided into four sections,
which allows it to inhabit different spaces and contexts, from black boxes to white boxes — in other
words, from theaters to museums and galleries.
